The sauna cabin

The sauna cabin, by the hour

A private cedar cabin at the back of the spa. Book it on its own, or add it before or after a massage or a facial.

Winter is the season for it. You walk in from the cold, rinse, and have an hour with nobody else in the room.

  • Private for the hour, for up to about four guests

  • A swimsuit, plus the robe and slippers we give you

  • For guests 18 and over

  • The last cabin hour starts an hour before closing

An hour in the cabin

How an hour goes

  1. 01

    Step 1: Rinse

A quick rinse first, then a towel for the bench and in you go.

  2. 02

    Step 2: Sit

Start on the lower bench, and move up when you're comfortable. Leave whenever you want.

  3. 03

    Step 3: Cool off

Step out, sip some water and sit until you feel ready for another round.

  4. 04

    Step 4: Rest

Dress slowly. If a massage follows, Sharlene or Erik meets you at the door.

Before you go in

The short version, in our words.

Using the thermal areas

Wear a swimsuit in the sauna cabin, and rinse before you go in. The cabin is for guests 18 and over, private for the hour and booked for up to about four. Step out whenever you like, and tell us if you feel dizzy or unwell. The last cabin hour starts an hour before closing.

Children and companions

Treatments are for guests 16 and older. A parent or guardian books for anyone under 18 and stays in the building. The sauna cabin is for guests 18 and over. A companion is welcome to wait in the front room.

When to ask your doctor first

If you are pregnant, have a heart condition or have been told by your doctor to take care with heat, ask your doctor before you book the cabin, hot stones or a warm wrap. Prenatal massage also needs your doctor's go-ahead. We may ask you to check with your doctor, and we will tell you if we think a doctor is the better next step.

Phones and quiet

Please keep your phone in your locker. The front room, the cabin and the treatment rooms stay quiet, and there are no photos where guests are changing or resting.

Book the cabin

Book an hour online, or call the front desk to add it to a treatment.
