The sauna cabin

A private cabin, by the hour

Come in from the cold, rinse and settle in. The cabin is booked on its own or added to a treatment.

  1. Private, by the hour

The cabin is yours for the hour: you, or you and up to about three friends. Rinse first, then settle in.

  2. Wear a swimsuit

A swimsuit, and the robe and slippers we give you for the walk back to your room.

  3. Ages 18 and over

The cabin is for adults. Treatments in the spa are for guests 16 and older.

  4. Ask your doctor first

If you're pregnant, have a heart condition or have been told to take care with heat, check with your doctor before you book.

    Erik Nilsson

    Owner and massage therapist

    • Massage Therapist License · MI Lic. 000000

Erik opened Hollyhock on Lakeshore Boulevard and still works the table most days. He does deep tissue and hot stone massage, and he is the one to ask about adding the sauna cabin to a visit.

  • Sharlene Bellanger, massage therapist, with a long braid and a sage tunic

    Sharlene Bellanger

Massage therapist and sauna cabin host

    • Massage Therapist License · MI Lic. 000000

Sharlene does Swedish and prenatal massage and looks after the sauna cabin. She will show you where everything is before your hour starts, and she checks on you after.

  • Gena Foster, esthetician, with silver-grey hair pinned back and a navy smock, leaning on a white counter

    Gena Foster

    Esthetician

    • Esthetician License · MI Lic. 000000

Gena begins every facial with a look at your skin and a talk about what you use at home. Winter is hard on skin, and she works with dry and mature skin most of all.
